20 minutes on 5 minutes off

 I have noticed that when I watch the screen or do homework for too long, my mind starts to wander, and I tend to go to distractions like youtube or video games. So I want to make a blog specifically rediverting my habits. So I will make a list of distractions that I tend to go to that get me trapped, and I will write replacement habits that I can do instead.

Non-helpful trap Habits:

  • Going to youtube
  • Going to the kitchen to snack on something
  • Minesweeper
  • Facebook
  • Playing the piano
Replacement Habits that could take no more than 5 minutes
  • Walking up the hill and back
  • Getting a drink of water
  • Quiz self on musical Repituar
  • Meditation
  • 1 beat saber song
  • Splashing water on face (it may be a good idea to get a squirt bottle)
  • 1 session of the home work out app (15 minutes)
  • Stretching
  • Talk to room mate about what I am learning
  • Switch to paper
  • record self with eyes closed talking about what you are learning
    • Ask myself as many questions about subject
