20 minutes on 5 minutes off
I have noticed that when I watch the screen or do homework for too long, my mind starts to wander, and I tend to go to distractions like youtube or video games. So I want to make a blog specifically rediverting my habits. So I will make a list of distractions that I tend to go to that get me trapped, and I will write replacement habits that I can do instead.
Non-helpful trap Habits:
- Going to youtube
- Going to the kitchen to snack on something
- Minesweeper
- Playing the piano
Replacement Habits that could take no more than 5 minutes
- Walking up the hill and back
- Getting a drink of water
- Quiz self on musical Repituar
- Meditation
- 1 beat saber song
- Splashing water on face (it may be a good idea to get a squirt bottle)
- 1 session of the home work out app (15 minutes)
- Stretching
- Talk to room mate about what I am learning
- Switch to paper
- record self with eyes closed talking about what you are learning
- Ask myself as many questions about subject
